I am still wearing my old pair of these. I'm on the second sole, and these old shoes (about 8 years old) are still holdin-up, and don't look too bad. Saving my new ones for -on the job around clients.

All things said, this is a very good boot for outdoors, hiking, and work around the farm. The sides are soft, but want to fold in-wards against your ankle causing some discomfort. It might come out of it when broken in completely. The extra side sole makes this an ideal boot for timber and sandy/soft soil. Over all, this is another fine product of expectations from this manufacturer.
