In the spirit of individuality, American flyboys made their leather bomber jackets distinctive by adding unit patches, nicknames and paintings. This heavily decorated G1 Flight Jacket is made of thick supple antique lambskin, and has a detachable fur collar and two outside button pockets. The patches are precise replicas of those worn by aviators. There are two inside pockets, and the embroidered polyester liner tells a detailed story of the coveted "Wings of Gold", a rigorous two year flight school training program to which Naval Aviators are subjected.
